Dawn McMaster

(nee Wright)

26/5/1922 to 5/7/1998

I am concluding this on my wife Dawn's birthday, 26 May I994.

Thanks for many lovely years, darling.

I trust this episode in my life will be of interest to anyone wanting to read it. [Also, my thanks to Maurine for typing it.]

No one realises more than I do, how fortunate I have been to enjoy such a full life since.

I am also thankful for my really excellent health, despite heart surgery at St Vincents Hospital on the advice of Dr Rommey Newman of Taree, a good friend, and, incidentally, of Malayan origin.

I also had the privilege of having my surgery performed by Dr Shanahan and Dr Victor Chang (the latter was so tragically murdered later while in the prime of his life. He was a genius).

I must pay a special tribute to my beloved mother who, in my opinion, suffered shockingly for years, not knowing if I was dead or alive - almost three years of wondering. Yet her faith and courage never wavered . She was an inspiration and immensely admired by all privileged to know her. She was finally blessed. I came home.
